Akismet for MovableType
Akismet, the successful Wordpress plugin against comment spam is launched for MovableType too. The basic concept of Akismet is to move the comment checking process from the blog engine to their central servers. Therefore they can have a huge database of spams and prevent them to appear on your blogs. The advantage of this concept is that you have less maintenance tasks, the disadvantage is of course depending on a thirdparty server to do the comment filtering for you. You decide - I stay with our homebrew solution, which will be published as soon as I can document it well enough.
